Wu-Tang Clan, an American hip-hop group located in Staten Island, New York City is one of the most influential hip-hop groups of all time. The group plans on releasing a personalised crypto token in the honour of a deceased group member, Ol’ Dirty Bastard (ODB). Despite bearish and brutal market conditions the group plans on releasing the token.

The entire idea of releasing a personalised token was of ODB’s son, Barson Jones. He thought of this idea in March this year and plans to release it as a fan-centric cryptocurrency. Jones said that he extremely excited about the future of the ODB coin and he assures the media that his dad would’ve felt the same way. He added by saying that the token is a great way to stay connected with fans and to reward them for taking an interest.

The ODB token is a fan-centric personalised token with numerous benefits for the buyers and not just meant to be traded as an investment. It is like an incentive for the Wu-Tang Clan fans, they will be able to spend it on shows and on numerous other things like video-games, t-shirts and books. Moreover, the token will also be used to fund concerts, albums and other group related projects. Hence, the ODB token cannot be termed as just another ‘crypto token.’ It definitely has added some benefits which attract the fans of the Wu-Tang Clan.

It was reported that DJ Khaled and boxer, Floyd Mayweather were involved in the Centra Tech ICO scam as celebrity endorsers. In order to support his coin against such news and scams Jones added that he had to specially take out time to get things in order. Agreeing with Jones statement, AltMarket CEO Bryce Weiner said that the ODB coin is viewed as a ‘merchandise’ like T-shirts, video games, etc. by the U.S. policy regulators. Bryce also said that he hopes the ODB coin acts as an inspiration to the other artists aiming to launch personalised crypto tokens available for trading on AltMarket Exchange.
